Shot a deer last season. It's been in his freezer for the past few months. Because it's just him and my mother in law in their house, he gave us a big bag of venison medallions, steaks, and sausage.
Yum. Plus I didn't have to get up at 5 AM and sit in the woods in December to get it, either.

One of the best parts about living in Texas. I have access to about 4 friends with freezers full of deer meat that they would love for me to smoke. I did 2 backstraps wrapped in bacon 2 weeks ago on the smoker. They turned out way better than I thought they would. I need to go get some more now.
